Year 11 is a very busy and extremely important year for our students. We work hard to ensure that every student is given every support possible to enable them to reach their full potential in their academic studies. Teachers will always “go the extra mile” for students and we know that our students respond well to this and similarly find that bit extra to give. Tutors are always on hand, being the daily contact with students, supporting them  throughout this stage of their journey. To help parents to work with, we organise two “Success at GCSE” evenings. The first is held early in the Autumn Term to set the scene for the year. The second is in the final countdown to GCSEs and will help parents to know how best to support their son/daughter in the final weeks before the main exam season.

We will offer every student a rich variety of extra-curricular opportunities to get involved with. These will include sport, service to the community, participation in school visits in the UK and abroad as well as numerous subject specific events. Of course, the Year 11 School Prom, held in June each year, will be the social highlight of the year – one that is planned for with vigour and enthusiasm as a fitting finale to their GCSE experience.
