A group of students and staff have enjoyed their half term break skiing at the Italian ski resort of Folgaria. The trip was led by Mr Kennedy-Fowler, Miss Davies, Mr Davies and Miss Podmore who were accompanied by 31 students from Year 8 to Year 11. All abilities of skier were catered for on the trip from beginners to more advanced skiers. In preparation for the trip, the skiers had ski lessons, with some student refining their skills further with extra lesson in their own time.
The practice sessions were put to good use with the group enjoying five hours of skiing each day in near perfect conditions. Throughout the trip the students benefited from lessons from professional instructors who helped everyone, from novice level to the more experienced, improve their skiing technique All of the ski groups, especially the beginners, made great progress improving their skiing throughout the five days on the slopes.
The fun didn’t stop in the evening, when the students were entertained with a variety of activities including tubing, which involved racing inflatable rubber tubes on the slopes and a trip to a local pizzeria.
