Sign Language Club

Posted

Sign Language club takes place every Tuesday lunch time and is an opportunity for students to learn the basics of signing.  The club is run by Year 13 student Sam Bromley, who is studying British Sign Language (BSL) and has recently passed his BSL at Work Training.

Students attending the course gain an understanding of what sign language is and an introduction to using basic sign language to communicate with a deaf or hard of hearing person. So far the students have learnt the alphabet, numbers and a selection of food and drink. As the course progresses they will broaden their knowledge, learning how to use sign language for introductions and different social situations.

All new students are welcome to attend.
