Congratulations to 16 year old Alysha James who has been accepted into the Royal Army Medical Corps to train as a Combat Medical Technician. Alicia’s training will start at The Army Foundation College (AFC) in Harrogate, North Yorkshire where she will embark on a 6 month training programme. This will be followed by 6 months work experience based training.
Alysha’s interest in joining the army started when she joined the Cadets four years ago. Upon receiving confirmation of her place at AFC Harrogate, Alysha said “I am really excited to start my training and look forward to the opportunities that the army will provide for me. I have fulfilled my ambition to join the Medical Corps and I am also very proud to be serving my country.”
Headteacher Mrs Webb commented “We are all really proud of Alysha and what she has achieved. We look forward to keeping in touch as her army career progresses.”
