Eaton Bank Academy staff, students and parents are celebrating a glowing Ofsted report, which graded the school as ‘outstanding’ for behaviour and safety and ‘outstanding’ for leadership and management.
Headteacher Ann Webb commented “We are delighted with the report and it is testament to the hard work of students, staff and governors’ that the school has been awarded ‘good with outstanding features’. We are especially pleased that Ofsted have rated our students’ behaviour as outstanding, recognising their excellent behaviour and the great pride they show in our school.”
The inspectors were particularly impressed with students’ dedication to their work, stating: “Students have very positive attitudes to learning, are keen to do well and want to achieve.” The report praised the behaviour around the school as “exemplary, calm and purposeful” and noted that “students are polite, courteous and at ease with each other and other adults.”
The safeguarding of students is a priority at Eaton Bank Academy and the systems and structures put in place to ensure students remain safe and secure, were also graded as outstanding with students feeling “extremely safe as a result”.
The report highlighted the continuous improvement of the school, which is successfully delivered through the outstanding leadership and management of teaching and the “inspirational leadership” of the Headteacher Mrs Ann Webb. The inspectors judged that “expectations and aspirations for all students are very high” and “there is an exceptional ethos and climate for learning within the school.”
Mrs Webb concluded “we are extremely pleased the Ofsted report has recognised and celebrated the success of our school. We have a dedicated team of teachers and a very strong academic record, achieving GCSE results that place us in the top 10 for Cheshire East schools. As a school we continually strive to improve and know we are very close to being graded as an ‘outstanding school’. We are confident we will achieve our goal in the very near future.”
