Normandy Trip

Students from Years 7, 8 and 9 have enjoyed 4 days exploring the historic region of Normandy, accompanied by Mr Davies, Miss Foreman, Mr McNulty and Miss Williams. The iteniary included a wide range of historic sites and the opportunity to experience French cuisine with a meal of snails and frogs legs!Β  On Saturday, the students visited several important sites used during the D-Day Landings, visiting Omaha Beach, Arromanches and its famous Mulberry Harbour. The following day they visited Falaise Castle, the birthplace of William the Conqueror and witnessed the beauty of Bayeux town, before viewing the Bayeux Tapestry. Mr Davies commented “the students were a credit to themselves and the school and were a joy to accompany on the trip. We also had the added bonus of being in France as they won the World Cup, making the trip all the more memorable!”
