Our new Head Girl and Head Boy Lucy Barrow and Tom Baker are keen to get started in their new roles. They kindly answered some questions about what they hope to achieve as the Head Boy and Girl in 2017/2018.
What subjects are you studying?
LB– History, Sociology, English language and Economics
TB – Geography, Music Tech, Product Design and Business.
Why did you want to be Head Girl/Boy?
LB – I wanted to become HG because I felt that the importance of student voice within a school was something that I wanted to explore, expand and improve. I am looking forward to making a difference to the school and representing the view of the students.
TB – I wanted to become HB to not only improve my personal skills in managing a team and speaking to large audiences, but also to give the students of EBA, a vocal opinion in decisions made at school. I am looking forward to working with both members of staff and students in my new role.
What are your personal strengths?
LB – My personal strengths include my passion for the school and my determination to improve areas for students.
TB – I have the confidence to speak in front of large audiences and engage with all age groups.
What are your plans for the future?
LB – I am still not sure what I want to do, I’m still considering various pathways. Although I am leaning more towards university.
TB – I have no future plans set in stone. I have a passion for product design, and would enjoy studying it at university, but I am still not 100% sure yet!
