Holocaust Memorial Day 2023
Over the course of this week, students will be having assemblies in the lead up to Holocaust Memorial Day on Thursday 27th January. This important event in our assembly calendar is designed to remember the millions of souls who were murdered at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators as well as reflecting on the impact of prejudice and hatred in today’s society. This year’s theme is “Ordinary People“, which encourages a reflection on the ordinary lives of people within the narrative of the Holocaust as well as the extraordinary choices of ordinary people, both then and today, to stand up to hatred and challenge social injustice.
