Year 6 students from Havannah Primary School have enjoyed a series of exciting science lessons at Eaton Bank Academy. The students have been developing their knowledge of physics, assisted by Eaton Bank Academy physics teacher Mr Paul Sharman and Head of Science, Dr Sarah Longshaw.
Working in the school science labs, the students have learnt about the dispersion of light and made their own periscopes. The young scientists have also tackled the topic of electricity by building their own parallel electrical circuits using buzzers, switches and bulbs.
Mr Sharman was delighted with the science lessons, stating “the Year 6 students really enjoy coming up to Eaton Bank Academy and getting the opportunity to work in a science lab. They have shown great enthusiasm for the lessons and are always keen to learn more. We have hopefully discovered some great scientists of the future!”
