Gambia Fundraising

Eaton Bank Academy Sixth Formers are on course to raise over £2000 for ‘Schools for Gambia’.  The students have raised the money through a wide variety of fundraising activities including selling honey, eating only certain foods for a week, a 100 mile cycle ride, a 10K run and a charity concert.

The fundraising activities are part of Eaton Bank Academy’s on-going support for ‘Schools for Gambia’, which will include 14 students making the journey to The Gambia in November.  The students will work for the charity and have the opportunity to visit the schools built by money raised by Eaton Bank Academy.

The Sixth Formers are pictured with Schools for Gambia founder Mrs Mae Winterton who visited Eaton Bank Academy to congratulate the students and tell them more about the valuable work done by the charity in The Gambia.
