Our Year 7 students have put their financial skills to the test at the ‘Cheshire East Trading Challenge’. Congleton Town Hall was transformed into a fictional stock exchange where teams of Year 7 students from 5 local schools tested their business acumen and maths skills. Each team was tasked with investing a virtual sum of £10,000 in 25 fictional businesses to see who could make the most profit. Throughout the day the investment teams had to respond to global events, such as economic crises and natural disasters, that impacted on the 25 fictional businesses. The Eaton Bank Academy teams performed exceptionally well, investing enthusiastically and showing great determination. They were recognised for their efforts with the Most Enterprising Award (sponsored by SAS Daniels) and the Resilience Award (Sponsored by East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce). Well done to everyone who took part!
