Year 8 Art
Miss Smith’s Year 8 Art classes have been learning about the life and work of Picasso and have also created sketches from ‘The Weeping Woman’. Well done to Ava Willock, Rhiannon Griffiths, Katie Harrison, Libby Maddison, Mazie Millward and Niamh Gallagher.
Year 8 Art
Mrs Barter’s class had a portrait drawing task working on placement of features, tone and observation. The portraits created by the students are brilliant! Art work below by Ruby Downing, Emma Smith, Seth Storer, Hollie Brunt and Ethan Jackson.
Year 8 PE
Rhiannon Griffiths has been completing the PE walking challenge! Students have been asked to go for a walk and try to take a photo of the following items around town – tree, village sign, river or canal, winter flower, walking stile and a village notice board.
Year 8 Drama
For anyone missing the theatre, here is an extract from Blood Brothers by Willy Russell performed by Fahren Jones! This lesson was part of the Year 8 script analysis scheme where students study extracts from Blood Brothers. In this lesson students interpreted one of Mickey’s monologues from when he was 7 years old. Students had to decide on the vocal and physical skills that they would use in performance to communicate his character and emotions.
Students have been very creative during their LORIC learning – brilliant artwork and delicious looking cakes!
Pictures submitted by Rhiannon Griffiths, Charlie Evett and Aimee Barratt.
Year 7-9 PE
