Three Eaton Bank Academy students have excelled in a national competition designed to test the knowledge of A-Level biology students.
The British Biology Olympiad is a competition run by the Society of Biology for students aged 16 to 19. The Eaton Bank Academy Year 13 students took part in the first round in which they completed a comprehensive online examination testing all aspects of their biology knowledge.
The students all performed well in the test with Hannah Gravett achieving a prestigious silver award, Kim Stanford a bronze award and Cameron Wright ‘highly commended’. Biology teacher Mrs Lucy McLaughlin commented: “Having never entered students for this competition before I am incredibly proud of their achievements. Hannah, Kim and Cameron are all outstanding biology students and they should be very proud of what they have achieved.”
