Employee Volunteering, which organises volunteering within the community arranged interviews for a selection of Year 11 students with staff from AstraZeneca. The practice interview consisted of questions relating to examples of: teamwork, leadership, problem solving, independent working, creativity, customer service, responsibility, organisation, decision making, openness to change, communication, handling conflict and describing your greatest achievement.
We have received such positive feedback from the interviewers, they commented on how bright and personable all the students were. Sandra Bailey, Careers & Work-related Learning Coordinator, attended both sessions with the students and remarked on how “enthusiastic and animated” the students were, “I felt very emotional and very proud of the confident and mature manner in which the students conducted themselves”.
Thank you to the staff of Astra Zeneca who volunteered their time to help our students and provide such a valuable experience.
