Eaton Bank Academy has hosted the school’s annual Apprenticeship Conference. The event brings together Eaton Bank Academy students, local apprentices and a range of employers to talk about the exciting career opportunities available through apprenticeship programmes.
Speakers at the Conference, which was hosted at Eaton Bank Academy Sixth Form, were from a range of local organisations who generously supported the event. Presentations and question and answer sessions were provided by ALPS Legal Practice, Siemens, ALDI, Senior Aerospace Bird Bellows, Barclays, Plus Dane, Total People and Interserve. The presentations promoted the benefits of apprenticeships as an alternative to University and the specific opportunities which are available with local high profile employers.
Work Related Learning Coordinator and event organiser Sandra Bailey commented “The apprenticeship conference has become an important annual event in the school calendar. We are very grateful for the on-going support of local employers, who provide our Year 10 to 13 students with a valuable insight into the training and career opportunities that are available through apprenticeships. We have an excellent track record ensuring our students are prepared for life beyond school and this event is an essential part of that success.”
