Since leaving Eaton Bank Academy, Sophie Moores has seen her career in dance go from strength to strength.  Following her Sixth Form studies, Sophie successfully auditioned for Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where she has studied for three years for her BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance.

During her studies Sophie has had placements with several renowned dance companies and artists such as Phoenix Dance Theatre, Alexander Whitley Dance Company and performing at the Southbank Centre as part of the Southbank Fashion Weekend 2016. Furthermore Sophie was selected to take part in Matthew Bourne’s ‘A Summer Adventure’ in which she worked with members of Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures over a three day intensive period taking technique classes and learning repertoire.

Following her interest in Screendance, Sophie has collaborated with Anji Crain, an American filmmaker, director of A+ Productions, featuring in her most recent dance film ‘Lateral’. Furthermore Sophie’s own work has been well recognised as her second year choreography was selected to be presented in the BA2 Choreographic Sharing. Furthermore Sophie’s final year dissertation; a Screendance installation, resulted in a grade A+ and was chosen for the Degree Show.

Sophie is currently working through her final week of rehearsals in preparation for her Commissioned Works performance, which concludes her three years, in which Sophie will feature in Tide choreographed by Joss Arnott. Following her graduation from Trinity Laban Sophie has successfully auditioned for JV2: Professional Development Diploma; the post-graduate dance company of Jasmin Vardimon.
