At Eaton Bank Academy we have high expectations for the young people in our care and expect outstanding behaviour from all students during lessons and unstructured times. The good behaviour in our school is based on fostering a culture of ‘can do’ and happiness, celebration, success and achievement for all.
As part of this culture, we actively celebrate and reward good behaviour with a range of school rewards.
- Achievement Folders
Students are presented with an achievement folder in Year 7 to enable them to safely store any records of achievements, academic certificates and extra-curricular certificates they receive throughout their school life.
- Code 1 letters
If a student receives more than five ‘codes 1’s’ for outstanding behaviour per week, he/she will receive a letter home acknowledging their achievement.
- Form Attendance Award
We are proud of our high student attendance levels and reward the form group with the most improved attendance each term. One form group per year group will receive the winning trophy and chocolates to recognise their achievement.
- Golden Tickets
Students who have demonstrated consistently good behaviour (achieving only code 1 and 2 throughout the week) will receive a golden ticket from their tutor. The golden tickets are then put into a termly draw where students can win a first prize of a £20 voucher, or second prize of a £10 voucher. The top 20 students from each year group also get a Bfl Winning Breakfast (Dec 2016 winners below)
- Termly Reward Assemblies
We hold a termly assembly where the extra curricular activities of students are celebrated. Students with 100% individual attendance are also recognised and the form attendance award is presented. Students receive certificates acknowledging their extra curricular achievements, which they can store in their achievement folders.
- Outstanding Attitude to Learning in each Faculty
Throughout the school year each faculty will choose 1 boy and 1 girl from each year group who have demonstrated outstanding A2L within the faculty subjects. The students will receive a letter home, and feature in the school newsletters and website. A photograph of the winning students will also displayed in the school corridor.
