We feel that education is a partnership between school and home with the child being at the centre. We strive to build good, honest relationships with all our parents and carers. We encourage support with both homework and behaviour from parents and encourage them to inform us of any changes at home that may have an impact on their child in school.
We hope you will take every opportunity to engage with us by communicating through the home/school diaries, questionnaires, parent/teacher meetings, parent drop in forums and informal chats. Our school is very much a community where all voices are listened to and valued.
All parents and carers are welcome to join the PTA (Parent Teacher Association). This group meet informally and share ideas of how we can strengthen our school and raise money for the school. More information about the PTA can be found here.
We have a before and after school club, known as “The Beehive” which is led by the Governing Body and many of the staff who work in the school also work in these clubs. At these clubs the children are able to socialise with other at all ages across the school and engage in play based activities whilst preparing for or unwinding from their busy school day.
All the staff at Buglawton School are very hard working, passionate about the children in their care and education in general. We aim to know every child personally, even if they are not in our class.
