Eaton Bank Academy

Ski Trip to Folgarida

Eaton Bank Academy students have enjoyed a week of skiing at the Italian ski resort of Folgarida.  The trip was led by PE teachers Miss Williams and Mr Carvell who were accompanied by Mr Bollan, Miss Davies, Mr Davies and 36 students from Year 7 to Year 11. Throughout the trip the students benefited from lessons from professional instructors who helped everyone, from novice level to the more experienced, improve their skiing technique.

In addition to a great experience on the slopes, students also enjoyed a packed schedule of après ski activities which included a pizza night and bowling competition. Congratulations to Dan Lyne for winning the bowling competition!

Throughout the week different staff and students had the ‘honour’ of wearing the panda hat for receiving the most votes for ‘fall of the day’ or in the case of Mr Carvell, for getting stuck in the gondola lift door!

Miss Williams thoroughly enjoyed the week, commenting “it was a fantastic week of skiing at a great resort. The students were brilliant as usual and the ski conditions were cold, but excellent.”
