Congratulations to Laura Mills, Eleanor Whitehurst, Kati-Leigh Newson and Daniella Rocuzzi who have all taken part in the Rotary Young Chef Competition.
All three young chefs did exceptionally well, with Laura achieving a place at the District Finals, and Eleanor receiving a ‘highly commended’ award for her cooking. Laura’s winning meal consisted of chicken wrapped in parma ham with wild rice and vegetables, followed by a trio of delicious desserts (raspberry cheesecake, Rotary pistachio brownie and strawberry shortcake.)
The next round of the competition will take place in the spring and to help her prepare, Laura will have the opportunity to spend a morning at the Manchester Airport Marriot Hotel working with the chef to refine her menu. Good luck Laura!
