After weeks of anticipation (and much media speculation), Year 11 students have returned to school to collect their GCSE results. Staff were delighted to see students after a long period of absence and were on hand to provide guidance and support throughout the morning.
The students received a ‘moderated’ grade, which is based on the highest of the Centre Assessed Grade (from the school) and the Calculated Grade (from OfQUAL). There were many individual success stories, with students delighted their hard work, dedication and commitment throughout their GCSE course had been rewarded.
For over 50 students, their results secured a place in Eaton Bank Academy Sixth Form. Staff were on hand to officially welcome students, provide further guidance and present them with their Sixth Form welcome packs. For others, work-based training is the next destination and expert careers advice was also available for those who required further information and support.
Whether students are staying with us for A-Levels, going to college or starting work-based learning, we wish them every success as they enter the next, exciting phase of their lives. They should all be justifiably proud of their achievements which will act as a firm foundation for their future years.
