Keen Food & Nutrition students took part in the first stage of the Rotary Young Chef Competition, preparing a 2 course meal of their choice. The winner was Alfie with his winning menu of duck fillet and duck spring roll on a bed of vegetables, and deconstructed cheesecake with Japanese honeycomb and chocolate shards. In second place, and highly commended, went to Dmytro with two traditional dishes from Ukraine. Alfie and Dmytro will now proceed to the next round of the Young Chef Competition at District level.
