Eaton Bank Academy Year 11 students have taken part in a mock interview day supported by representatives from local businesses and organisations. The students prepared CVs to apply for a Saturday job at a café or garden centre, and were interviewed for ten minutes before feedback was given. Year 11 students were delighted to have been given such a valuable experience and the feedback from interviewers was outstanding.

The interviews formed part of a whole school PHSE day, where all year took part in a range of activities.
Year 9 enjoyed a Dementia Friendly Workshop, delivered by Peter Munro, Susan Munro and Diane Ritherdon from ‘Dementia Friends in Congleton’. The students learnt about dementia, dementia awareness and how to present a friendly face to people living with dementia. Thank you to the Dementia Friends team for providing such an informative and interesting session.
Year 10 students attended a session about choosing suitable Saturday jobs and listened to a presentation about personal finance delivered by Carole Penney from The Money Charity. Year 8 students learnt about the difference experiences of childhood around the world, including child soldiers and child labour whilst Year 7 attended sessions about healthy eating and time management.
